about

Eric Stoye

Eric Stoye is a Salt Lake City–based craftsman specializing in custom wood and metal work. Growing up with a carpenter for a father, he was introduced early to tools, building, and the satisfaction of making something from scratch. That hands-on foundation shaped his practical, detail-focused approach and appreciation for well-built, functional design.

In his early twenties, Eric expanded into metal fabrication while working at Parker Cook Design, where he spent five years learning to weld, shape steel, and combine materials in clean, modern ways. That experience sharpened his technical skills and established the mixed-material style that defines his work today at Stoye Level Craftworks.

Eric enjoys collaborating closely with clients, taking time to understand their vision and translating it into thoughtfully made pieces—whether that’s custom furniture, architectural features, or one-of-a-kind installations. His process is guided by precision, problem-solving, and a genuine respect for craftsmanship.

Outside the shop, Eric is also a trained musician with a degree in Drum Performance from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, a background that influences his sense of rhythm, balance, and flow in his design work. When he’s not building, he’s usually outdoors—mountain biking, skiing, or exploring the landscapes around Salt Lake City, which continue to inspire his creative perspective.
